Music is one of the most powerful things for your brain power. By just simply listening to music, you are firing neurons all over your brain and increases your brain activity. Like a muscle, the more your brain is activated, the stronger it will get..
Here are some more ways to increase brain power…
1. Increase Brain Power By Doing Something New
When you do something or experience something new that actually stimulates your brain, you build new neuron pathways in your mind. Keep your brain guessing through out the day by changing up the routine of your daily life. Don’t get stuck doing the same thing over and over again or your brain actually loses brain power!
2. How To Increase Brain Power Through Exercise
It has been scientifically proven that when you exercise, you actually increase brain function and create NEW brain cells! Another way of saying new brain cells is “neurogenesis” so my advice to you is get off the couch and get cooking!
3. Do Memory Training
You can do memory training anywhere, for example, try to memorize your phone number (Which is easy), pass-port number, health card number, credit card number or anything that is important. You will soon find out that your brain will start becoming more efficient and you will never will say “I wish I had a better memory” again.
4. Train Your Brain To Think Positive
A lot of people say “Think positive”, but there is a big reason for that. Stress and anxiety actually kills existing brain neurons and halts new cells from being created.
…That’s a crap deal.
Research has proven and shown that thinking positive, especially in the future tense, speeds up your cell regeneration and creation.
This can be a difficult challenge at first, but try catching your negative thoughts and putting positives ones in. Do that for 30 days straight and you will see your life will start to change for the better.
5. Do Your Best To Eat healthy
Did you know your brain alone consumes 20% of the nutrients and oxygen? I know eh, what a hog! LOL. But seriously, your diet has a huge impact on brain function. Remember to eat fresh fruit, veggies and take plenty of OMEGA 3 oils.
Good in means GOOD out right?
6. Read A Great Book
Reading other than writing is one of the most powerful activities you can do to increase brain power. When you are reading a book, you are forcing your brain to imagine what is going on in the story.
Your mind is forced to picture what you are imagining. I believe by reading 4-5 pages a day can drastically increase brain power in the next 30 days..don’t believe me? Try it and SEE!
7. Get Proper Sleep
In today’s society, this is a major challenge. We are constantly bombarded by technology and busy schedules that force us to sleep less than we should.
You know it’s proven when you are in “REM” sleep, you brain increases the strength of the new neuron pathways you have built during the day.
Not only that, it just regenerates your body! Always remember to get enough sleep and most importantly, don’t go to bed any later than mid-night because that can drastically change the quality of sleep…
