Recently I have been approached by a few people that wanted to know what this Ambit Energy was all about. Instead of just winging this Ambit Energy Review like most “Ambit Energy Reviews”, I decide to actually research this company and see if this is a good business to join.
Let’s dig in, shall we?
Ambit Energy Review – Overview
Ambit Energy was created in early 2006 at a Potbelly’s restaurant in Addison, Texas, USA. Over a couple turkey sandwiches, Jere Thompson and Chris Chambless met for lunch to discuss energy deregulation.
Once everything was discussed they went and created the most respected energy company in the USA while providing great prices on electricity and gas.
This company was going fast, in fact, in 2008 the company revenue hit $200 million and nearly $325 million in 2009. In 2010, they finally became a Fortune 500 company.
Not a bad achievement in a short period of time…
At this time, Ambit Energy was providing services to Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Texas, New Jersey, and California. At this point, the company is a member of the Direct Selling Association (DBA).
As of 2014, the company has reached over $1 Billion dollars in revenue which is a HUGE accomplishment considering the fact most companies go out of business in their first 5 years.
Ambit Energy Reviews – Products
Ambit Energy provides natural gas and power to 9 states with in the United States and according to the company “Has a mission to be the finest and most respected retail energy provider”.
The good thing about these new energy companies is it prevents these huge corporation energy companies to monopolize the sector. This way, there is more competition and that means cheaper prices for you.
The great thing about Ambit Energy is they reward their customers for being loyal customers by offering competitive energy prices and creating an attractive customer rewards programs in the industry.
To ready more about their compensation plan if you want to give Ambit Energy a shot, you check out it out here.
Ambit Energy Competition
Like most MLM companies, even Ambit Energy has some stiff competition. All of the following companies provide the same products and services with similar pricing.
- Ampegy (Spark Energy)
- Choice Consumer Marketing
- Ignite Energy
- Dynastar Energy
- Independent Energy (Energy Plus)
- Invado Energy
- North American Power
- Viridian Energy

Ambit Energy Lawsuits
They are not the only Energy company that has went through this. ACN has gone through 3 law suits which all of them settled. Ignite and Steam Energy has faced a similar challenge which I believe are still going now.
The main reason they were getting suede was because of their compensation plan looked like a pyramid scheme which you should know is illegal.
The TRUTH of the matter is none of them are pyramid schemes. They exchange products and services for a commission to their distributors.
An illegal pyramid scheme is only when “Money” is exchanged with no products or services. To be honest, I am not even sure why these companies get suede in the first place for this. I think it’s a conspiracy Lol.
Ambit Energy Reviews – Conclusion
Overall, Ambit Energy company is well-managed and well positioned in the energy MLM sector. Before you get started in a company like this, you have to take a look at the long term prospects because the last thing you need is to give it your best shot and you fail miserably.
Timing – In certain states like California, they just recently became energy deregulated, good time to move in.
Easy to Market – People are already paying for energy and gas so for them to switch to something that is cheaper isn’t a hard sell. Consumers are all about deals.
The biggest problem which this company pay plan is you get great bonuses when you initially get a customer, but the residuals are Very small.
Additional to this, the market is limited to the states it’s available in and right now the comp plan is in question.
So is Ambit Energy a scam?
Of course not, I am sure many people are doing amazing in it. The problem with MLM companies is many people lack the training to succeed. You can’t just go from a “Job mentality” suddenly into a business and think you can just be successful.
You will have to develop the skills to be successful and to really become a professional at something, it takes an average of 7 years.
Now, your like me I don’t want to wait 7 years to get some great success. I am the person that loves getting success fast.
If you are interested in making money from home without a ton of work, I have something for you that has worked amazing for me..In fact, this is the ONE thing that helped me go full time from home.
Bless and Be Blessed,
P.S. I do love MLM companies, but this is better click here.
